How your sailing trip works - Sailing with sailwithus
Saturday - Saturday How does the sailing vacation work? All you have to do is book - confirmation and information about the sailing area and itinerary will follow promptly. You organize your arrival/departure yourself. Feel free to contact us if you need a hotel recommendation or tips. Two days in advance you will receive directions to the harbor where you will arrive on Saturday and depart on Sunday.
Sailing trip start
It's great if you arrive at your destination airport on Friday or Saturday lunchtime. On Saturday you should be at the port between 2 and 4 pm. Saturday is organization day. You arrive at your leisure, settle in and receive a safety briefing from your skipper. Then about four people per yacht go shopping for groceries for the week. You complete the sailwithus shopping list according to your wishes. It's an experience to rummage through the supermarkets and block the tills with six or more shopping carts! Check-in on the yacht is after 5 pm. The yacht usually departs on Sunday!
Catering on the sailing trip
Everything is stowed in the yacht. Now you go out to eat together. sailwithus has reserved tables for the whole crew in a typical local restaurant. The skipper will give you a yacht briefing including galley, lines and sails before you set off. The following days are relaxed. The pattern: relaxed breakfast on board, cast off, head for the day's destination, lunch snack with a swim stop. Nothing more. You arrive at your destination in the afternoon. You see: plenty of time to swim, read, take a nap or explore a small town before you cook or go to a restaurant.
Sailing trip routes
You can find route suggestions on our vacation destinations pages – from Greece to Croatia to the Caribbean. The skippers consult with each other and usually suggest two or three individual routes. A colorful harbor, a secluded bay or an intermediate destination with a swim stop? You decide as a crew. Your destination for the day depends on the wind and on you.
Evening entertainment
As I said: sailing with sailwithus is an individual vacation where you can help decide. The evenings are therefore usually organized spontaneously and according to your preferences and interests. If you feel like partying, you're sure to find someone to join you. Those who like to end the evening under the stars in a hammock on board will quickly gather a fan base. Either way, every day is unique!

You have already packed your travel bag and sail back to the starting port, where you will arrive between 3 and 6 pm.
End of sailing trip.
On Saturday you leave the yacht by 9 am. As a rule, you will arrive at the starting harbor on Friday afternoon, where the skippers will carry out an official handover with the charter company (duration per yacht: approx. 30 to 60 minutes). You only hand over the yacht swept clean, as the complete cleaning is included in the price. On Saturday morning after breakfast you leave the yacht according to plan.
